Release Notes August 2026

What's new?

Written by Oliver Schallehn

Highlights

  • Workspace-wide Search

  • Enhanced Seismic & SBP Visualization

  • Multi-layer Side-Scan Sonar Support

  • Performance & Reliability Improvements

New Features

Workspace-wide Search

A new search makes it easy to find files, folders, projects, and maps across your workspace. Search results also include close matches, helping you find items even when search terms contain spelling mistakes or slight variations (fuzzy search). From the search results, you can directly open the corresponding item in the inspector.

Extended File Format Support

Support for additional file formats has been introduced to improve compatibility with a wider range of data sources and workflows.

Newly supported formats and enhancements include:

  • ASRI

  • BWXRES

  • TBL

  • ASC

  • E57

  • Extended Norbit support including FLS payload processing

  • Automatic CRS detection by bundling PRJ files with LAS/LAZ datasets

Multi-layer Side-Scan Sonar Support

Side-scan sonar datasets containing multiple layers can now be imported, processed, and visualized, allowing all available layers within a dataset to be explored.

Improvements

Enhanced Seismic & SBP Visualization

The seismic and SBP viewer has been significantly enhanced with new visualization and interpretation capabilities. Users can now:

  • Display seismic sections in depth or time domain.

  • Switch between multiple seismic colour maps.

  • Apply lightweight processing such as AGC, low-pass, high-pass, and band-pass filters.

  • View the frequency spectrum of the displayed data.

  • Zoom, clip amplitudes, and mask amplitudes by value range.

  • Display seismic attributes such as envelope, phase, frequency, and amplitude.

  • Show coordinate and depth/time overlays and switch vertical units.

  • Create and edit seismic event picks.

  • Inspect 3D volumes using inline, crossline, and depth/time slices.

Additional Improvements

  • More detailed indexing progress and error reporting provide greater transparency during data ingestion.

  • Improved preview generation status information for side-scan sonar datasets in the file manager.

  • Faster and more reliable WMS publishing through improved handling of GetCapabilities requests.

  • More detailed information for shared resources and upload endpoints in the global and project lists.

  • Improved status feedback while deleting projects.

  • Additional guidance for SFTP uploads in the upload dialog.

  • More accurate storage usage calculations on the home dashboard.

  • Improved usability of the Add to Map dialogs.
