New Features
Coordinate Reference System (CRS) Editing
You can now define or adjust the coordinate reference system of uploaded files. Select from a list of standard systems or provide a custom CRS definition. This makes it easier to align data with your project requirements and ensures consistency across datasets.
Cesium 3D Point Cloud Viewer
The platform now integrates the Cesium 3D point cloud viewer. It delivers improved performance and visualization options, replacing previous viewers. This makes it more efficient to examine multibeam sensor data as well as LAS/LAZ files directly in the platform.
Extended File Format Support
We have added support for additional file formats to broaden the scope of data you can work with on the platform:
MKV video format
.glb format
Inspector Preview in a New Browser Tab
When using the feature info function on a map layer, you now have the option to open the file inspector in a separate browser tab. This provides more flexibility in reviewing and comparing data.
Improved File Preview Options on the Map
File and layer previews on the map can now be opened in multiple resizable modals in parallel. This includes support for video, document, point cloud, and image formats, allowing you to compare several files side by side.
Extracting file archives (.zip)
You can now extract zip archives directly in the application. Upload a .zip file, choose to extract the archive and a new folder with the files included in the archive is created.
Enhancements and Changes
Acquisition Date in File Metadata
If available, the acquisition date of a dataset is now displayed in the metadata section. This helps track data provenance and project timelines more effectively.
Excel File Handling
For Excel files larger than 10 MB, the platform now displays a warning and offers a download option instead of an in-browser preview. This improves performance while still ensuring data accessibility.
Improved Styling for Point Layers
The default styling of point layers (SHP, S12, S57, AGS) has been updated for better visibility on base maps.
Performance Improvements for TIL and XTF (SSS)
Rasterization of Side Scan Sonar (XTF) files and handling of TIL data has been further optimized, resulting in faster performance.
