New Features

Upload Files of Any Size via Browser

File size limitations for browser uploads have been removed. With recent protocol improvements, users can now upload files of any size directly from their browser.

Create New Maps from the ‘Add to Map’ Dialog

Users can now create a new map directly when adding data from External Sources or the File Manager. This allows faster and more flexible map creation without navigating away from the context.

Create New Folders During File Moves

To streamline file organization, the File Manager now allows users to create a new folder directly within the ‘Move File’ dialog — removing the need to pre-create folder structures.

Card and Table View Options for Map Overview

Users can now switch between a visual card view and a structured table view in the Map Overview. This helps accommodate different preferences and makes managing large numbers of maps more efficient.

Support for .prj Files with .xyz and .pts Data

When a corresponding .prj file is provided alongside .xyz or .pts data, the files are automatically recognized and bundled together. This allows the system to apply the correct coordinate reference system (CRS), enabling accurate map placement for these formats.

Enhancements and Changes

Workspace Administrators Can Now Access All Maps

Previously, maps were only visible to their creators. To improve collaboration and avoid orphaned content, workspace administrators now have edit access to all maps within the workspace.

Updated Terminology for Raster Styling

In the raster layer styling options, the term “Fill” has been renamed to “Colormap” for clarity and alignment with geospatial terminology.

Improved Group Visibility Handling on Maps

Group toggling behavior on maps has been enhanced:

  • Turning a group off will hide all layers and sub-groups within it, but the system remembers their individual visibility settings.

  • Turning the group back on restores only the layers and sub-groups that were previously visible, keeping the user's intended display configuration intact.

This change offers greater control over complex map layer arrangements.

Playback of Geo-Tagged .avi Videos in Maps

Geo-tagged .avi video files added to a map can now be played directly within the map interface. This enables faster context review of recorded footage without leaving the platform.

Improved Handling of SEG-Y Variants

The system now evaluates files with extensions such as .sgy, .segy, or .seg and automatically identifies SEG-Y files where applicable. These are then handled appropriately to support further visualization or processing.
