Release Notes August 2024

New Features:

  • New users, i.e. users not invited before to the workspace, can be invited in the projects user management directly. They will be added as 'Member' to the workspace and project by default.

  • New users, i.e. users not invited before to the workspace, can be invited in the maps user management directly. They will be added as 'Guest' to the workspace and as viewer of the map by default.

  • A legend for a layer on the map has been introduced showing the meaning of colors shown on the map.

  • The Inspire-Validator results are now permanently saved per file

  • For SideScanSonar (.jsf & .gsf) files the preview modal has now measuring tools

  • An center point as well as a radius line is visualized when using the circle function in the geosearch

  • Tiles for published WMS shares are activated

Enhancements/Changes:

  • The usability of user invitations has been improved. The User Management view ‘Pending invitations’ has been removed, you can now resend an invitation directly from the user list.

  • The dashboard view has been removed from Guest users visibility.

  • An expiration date can be set for Guest users.

  • Extended notifications to the user when publishing a file as WMS service have been implemented

  • Guest users don’t see navigation bar buttons if they don’t have the corresponding permissions

  • The performance of the geosearch has improved as well as the usability

  • The Support of GeoTiffs is enhanced

  • The performance of bundling files has improved

  • The performance of indexing files has improved

  • An additional user notification for .sdf and .jsf preview computing is shown

  • Notifications in the users area in a project are improved

Known Restrictions

  • Preview of las, laz, pts, txt (svp) and xyz files restricted to 5 in parallel: The 3D viewer requires a separate instance which consumes quites some resources. For this reason an instance is time limited to 30 minutes. In addition the platform allows a maximum of 5 instances at the same time. The oldest instance will be removed if a new preview is inititated. The advantage is the (re-)creation of the preview works much faster than before.
